Dr. Robert Landsberg, MD


Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Robert P. Landsberg enjoys dual citizenship and has been practicing medicine in the United States since 1984. He is board certified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Canada and the United States and has lived in Hendersonville, Tennessee since 1993.
Dr. Landsberg is the winner of the John Charnley Award for "The Effect of the Endoprosthetic Mismatch and Metal and Non-Metal Backed Acetabular Components of 'In Vitro' Pelvic Stress." The John Charnley award is given each year to one recipient for best hip research study worldwide in Orthopaedic Surgery.
During residency, Dr. Landsberg trained with Dr. Richard J. Hawkins of the world-famous Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of Vail, Colorado and Greenville, South Carolina.  He also trained with Dr. Peter Fowler, of the world-famous Fowler-Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London, Ontario, Canada. 
It is very important to Dr. Landsberg that he remains active in the community. He is the Team Physician and Assistant Coach for the Hendersonville High School Ice Hockey team where his son, Reid, plays.
In previous years, he served as Team Physician for multiple high school teams in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as well as being the treating physician for the dance program at Western Kentucky University. Later, he was Team Physician for Beech High School and Station Camp High School, locally. He also coached Hendersonville Inline Hockey for a number of years. These activities have introduced Dr. Landsberg to many local families and young athletes in the community. This in turn allows him to gain a better understanding of our community's orthopaedic needs.
The doctor’s years of experience and close involvement in his communities has gained a reputation that continues to bring patients from many surrounding states. 
Dr. Landsberg is honored and humbled to serve on the Board of Directors for Hendersonville Medical Center and is on the Tri-Star Orthopaedic Advisory Board. He has been a member of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce since 1993.
Dr. Landsberg enjoys sports such as cycling, snow skiing and wind surfing, to name a few. He is an avid reader and a huge hockey fan.
The Landsberg's have 5 children. Shauna, Amanda, Morgan, Reid and Ben, who all reside in Hendersonville’s “City By The Lake.”
